In Firefox 32.0.3 and got the errors when uploading. for the flash uploader:

Upload Skipped (Error IO)

post-109486-0-87163300-1412517122_thumb.

and I tried to switch to the basic uploader. Says the connection was reset.

post-109486-0-46338600-1412517000_thumb.

The file was 10MB, which is under the 100MB limit

I switched to Google Chrome browser (39.0.2171.7 dev-m) and no problem with some smaller files. The larger 9-10MB file received a similar error.

I did type this post in a separate tab in Firefox and the two images above seemed to upload ok in the basic uploader. Tested the flash uploader and it was the same IO error. Not sure what the problem was. I'm guessing a combination of large file size and flash bug. I did try to restart the browser earlier with no luck.

The upload skipped (Error IO) happens immediately. Whereas the basic uploader appears to actually attempt some upload and then will give error.

Have you encountered this upload issue before with your current computer and Internet connection?

What are the specs of your Internet connection:

Provider (3BB, TOT, True, CAT, AOL, etc)

Connection type (DSL, Cable DOCSIS, FTTx, 3G, etc)

What are your download/upload speeds

I've had issues in the past with the Flash uploader (IO error) so you're not alone.

The basic uploader works ok, but obviously a pain if you have many files (but never uploaded massive files).
