Yeah. Few years ago my ex-wife and teenage daughter went there for a holiday. Both are well traveled who like different countries, cultures etc.

They bought a new plane ticket and left early. The hassle they got as two women alone from men there was horrendous. Everywhere, the hotel, hotel pool, on trips, in the markets, sight seeing. Totally unbearable touching, pestering, intimidating scumbags. They found the whole place dirty, seedy and disgusting - the worse country they've been too.

But do the same to one of their women and it would spark a riot.

True - you have to abide by the laws of a country if you choose to visit them or risk the consequences of breaking them if court.

However, that doesn't mean you can't express an opinion against a county's laws that you find reprehensible.

I think it is a fair point that gay people lack full legal equality and freedom from irrational discrimination in MOST of the world. Still, to this day. It is matter of degree from country to country, even region to region within countries.

I mention 'nanny state' as many people living in their cosy little nanny states are oblivious to the fact that such laws exist in countries outside the cosy cuddly section of the planet.
