Should be a good view from Doi Suthep for those in the city.

Hope so; the moon is relatively close now so it should look spectacular. BTW the 1803 moonrise is at the horizon so if you want to get a picture during totality it might be worth finding a spot as high as possible up on a hill facing East.

the last time i was there if i was stood at the doi suthep viewpoint half way up the hill

the view i would see would be looking east

we missed totality, dam thing had disappeared!

Pretty impressive from the city now.

in chiang mai ... it did because of cloud / rain cover i think

the sun set on the south side ( left ) of doi suthep ( pic 1 )

just before six

but looking east between 6 03 and 6 23 ( pic 2 ) when it was supposed to end i could see zilch
