I am currently on a ED Visa and this will be my second extension at the immigration. The first extension they stapled a notice in my passport - "NOTICE OF STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS".

The alien permitted to stay longer in the kingdom must nofity your place of residence to the immigration office ever 90 days. Incase of application for extension of temporary stay in kingdom by TM.7 you have notified your place of residence at the first time. Any alien who fails to comply with will be punished with a fine not exceeding 5,000.-baht and with an additional fine not exceeding 200.-baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with. ACCORDING TO IMMIGRATION ACT B.S2522 SECTION 76

They also handed me a pamleft for my 'housemaster' to report me staying at his/her residence. I have talked with my landlord and he/she has reported my stay online to immigration.

Do I personally need to fill out any extra paperwork for this reporting? Or should they be able to look online that my landlord has reported me and just bring all my usual papers for ED extension?

You could ask your land lord for something to prove they are doing the reporting online.

You will need to do the 90 day report 15 days before or 7 days after the date you have been in the country 90 days since your last extension date. In the future it will shown on the receipt for the 90 day reporting.

When you say "you will need to do the 90 report" does that mean my landlord or myself? Also on the bottom of the notice they stapled it says: "To notify again on 14 Oct 20014", which is when I need to extend my stay.

Edit: And just to be clear, it was obvious to immigration I've been in the country over 15 days on my initial visit since it was my second time reporting to immirgration. So I guess I am a little confused on how this goes, if reporting my residence is the same as extending and my landlord needs to do the reporting? And just grab proof from him/her.

The 90 day report you have to do yourself by completing a TM47 form. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm47.pdf

Since they have given you the date when you need to do your report that will be when it will be due. But you can do it 15 days early which will be what you will need to do if your extension is ending on the 14th.

Reports of staying longer than 90 days are not extensions. You apply for an extension using a TM7 form.

You landlord would do a TM30 form to report your pretense. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm30.pdf

15 days before hand is required? As you can see it's only 7 days at this point.

Edit: Seems overbearing if I have to go to the immigration office twice every 90 days.. if I remember correctly I am able to mail this in?

I did say 15 days early was required. I wrote it is allowed.

I was informing you of that option since your report is due on the same date your extension is due. I assume you are not going to wait for the last day to do your extension.

You can do 90 day reports by mail at most immigration offices.

Just being thorough, don't want any problems when I go. Thanks for the info.

As far as mailing my notice, does Chang Wattana BKK accept by mail and would I have to wait for a reply email with confirmation or would it be registered in their computers?
