I can read Hino 500 ;

hope it has the biggest motor for Hino 500; but this biggest is only 285 HP and for a 7 axles = 55 tons it's notoriously inadequate;

43 years ago I had, in France, a Volvo F89 : 330 HP for 35 tons !

Two or three days ago I was speaking with a thai trucker ; he drives a Isuzu tractor with a long flat trailor ; he stopped to give me a bottle of water and said excuse me the water is not fresh ! ( I was on my MTBike)

I answered to him, it was my job in France a long time ago and I had airco in the cab; he doesn't have, here in Thailand ! sad.png

Who puts these on the trucks ?

I ask because you see 10 Michelin man on a truck and 20 mirrors ,

Unless we are paying way too much when we find the Michelin men that is a lot of money for a Thai truck driver,

Maybe they get a real good price when they buy 10 or more !

Has anyone found out who is making them ?

The drivers who are often the owners of the trucks;

a very little one is only 180 baht ;

the middle, average one is 300 baht and the big one is between 600 and 800 baht for one .

It's not really much money for a truck driver in Thailand;

they all have a good salary ( big trucks on long distances ) .

About the Michelin adornment, they are copies, as usual; don't forget we are in Thailand the country for copies ...whistling.gif

This morning during my MTBike balade - today 98 km , yes wai2.gif ; I didnt saw the "pschitt " on the rear wheel of the truck
