BANGKOK, 13 October 2014: Thailands Culture Ministry will host the 2014 World Festival of Puppet Art next month as its first major project for the 2015 fiscal year.

Thailands Naional News Bureau quoted Culture Minister, Vira Rojpojchanarat, saying that all departments under the ministry have been instructed to disburse up to 35% of their fiscal 2015 budget within the first quarter which is between October and December 2014.

He said that the budget disbursement will be used for seminars, training sessions, procurement plans and construction of art galleries and cultural offices in the provinces.

inside-no-815.jpgIn addition, the ministry will host The 2014 World Festival of Puppet Art, 1 to 11 November. The event will feature numerous international puppetry performances to be held at Sanam Luang, Rattanakosin Island, and nearby venues.

Around 160 puppeteers and puppet companies from 83 countries have confirmed their participation in this years event.
