webfact
Australian Meat Cleaver Incident at Central Pattaya Car WashPATTAYA: -- On Sunday afternoon, Police were called to a Car Wash in Central Pattaya to deal with an enraged Australian who was threatening staff at the Car Wash with a meat cleaver. The incident occurred at the Car Wash behind the Caltex Petrol Station on the Sukhumvit Road, close to the Central Pattaya intersection. Mr. Walid Chami aged 36 had taken his White Toyota Fortuna to the car wash and informed the cleaners to remove the remains of a sticker which was placed on the rear window.According to details provided by the car wash owner, Khun Tawisak aged 43, Mr. Chami became enraged when he realized the rear window was sticky after the cleaning was completed. The exact details of the altercation that followed are not clear but Mr. Chami is alleged to have produced a meat cleaver, which was concealed inside a box which was placed inside his vehicle. He reportedly waved the dangerous weapon about at which point the Police were called. Mr. Chami called his Lawyer who then told Police that Mr. Chami was the owner of a restaurant situated on the 6th floor of Central Festival Pattaya Beach and because of previous bad experiences he suffered from anger management problems.Full story: http://www.pattayaone.net/pattaya-news/150282/australian-meat-cleaver-incident-at-central-pattaya-car-wash/ -- Pattaya One 2014-10-

Popular Post ClutchClark
Well, he does sound like a nutter (I wish Americans had such witty expressions) but to be fair, the article does indicate the exact details are unclear between when he got angry and when the police arrived and found him with a cleaver. Its entirely possible he voiced his displeasure at the sticker removal and was quickly confronted by half a dozen Thai car wash attendants ready to practice their Mui Thai moves on him--at which point he removed his cleaver. Or perhaps he simply removed the cleaver to scrape off the sticker residue? Edited October 15, 2014 by ClutchClark

Do all farang business owners here become insane as a result of owning the business or do they start off bonkers in the first place? They start off quite sane, but the red tape and bribes they have to pay to all and sundry, not to mention the protection money, normally pushes them over the edge. What? Did I say something wrong???
Popular Post ClutchClark
deleted postP-A-R-A-N-O-I-AHe just looks like a cop with a smile trying to calm a tense situation. Were you traumatized by a man in a uniform at some point? Paranoia? Really?Look at some other photos of the cops on crime scenes, the same gormless facial expression. Like crime is a big joke. Police the world over see far more than their share of absurdity and raving idiots who get themselves into all kinds of comedic situations every day. There is no shortage of stupid in the world. So, ofcourse, police the world over often find humor when they are forced to deal with it. Cheers
