cheap cotton men's apparel, menswear

I wonder if anyone knows where to buy cheap cotton socks and underwear?

I have recently visited H&M at terminal 21 in Bangkok, they had what I'm looking for, but it was kind of expensive.

3 underwear were 499 baht and 10 pairs of socks (or was it 5?) also 499 baht.

I remember visiting C&A in Switzerland some time ago and they had 5 underwear for 350 baht and 10 socks for the same price of 350 baht.

I think C&A has no shops in Thailand, and BigC or Tesco are no alternative since their products contain too much polyester, I'm looking for 100% or 95% cotton.

does anyone know an alternative?

Oxfam?

Tesco.

We all used to sing a song at school that went... Let's all go to Tesco's where XXXXXX buys all their best cloths. La la la laaa, La la la laaa.

Markets???. 60 baht for 100% cotton boxers or even cheaper for briefs

You obviously have no idea of the usual price levels in Switzerland.

Everything there is considerably more expensive than anywhere else, except consumer electronics, so I expected to find cotton underwear at 40 baht a piece and socks at 20 baht a pair in Thailand, but not so. I might have to add socks and underwear to the currently very short list of things I don't get screwed over when buying them in Switzerland.

I think those days are long gone ,

Just the other month was in Australia and bought jeans for $7=200 baht.

Try to buy jeans in Thailand for 200 baht.

Bought tshirts $5=130/140baht size xl, in Thailand 190baht and up.

Next time you're in Switzerland try the Migros supermarkets. They do good quality stuff too.

OP,

You should contact TVF member RolandRat. I am led to believe that RR is tied up in the Bonds Cotton company, they do underware, socks, singlets etc.

I recall Roland speaking about that somewhere else where he offered TVF members discount or something like.

Drop Roland a PM. I'm sure it was Roland.

You are correct it was Roland. He is big in the cotton world.

I thought I was right. I was also under the impression that Roland sometimes sells cheap seconds and factory rejects at JJ on alternate weekends. I hope the little rats got his ducks in a row.

"Export Shop", Body glove, Central department stores have Jockey and all the name brands in mens underwear on the first floor.
