Or for something completely different, the owner of the Washy Mashy dry cleaner is an amateur artist who has his own hand-painted cards for sale, mostly birds and nature scenes if I recall. It's a chance to support a local business and favor Chiang Mai's artisanal tradition.

I love supporting him and usually buy cards there, when needed. Added benefit - I'm lazy and he's just across the street! But, sadly, Washy Mashy is closed on Sundays, so no emergency card purchases today.
