Both Micah and Rodwell have suffered several long term injuries and that is why they haven't been playing. As you well know, if you come back from a long term injury you can't expect to just get your place back, especially if you are up against the likes of challenging Zabbaleta to a spot.

But I suspect you knew all that and are just being facetious

I honestly doubt they follow City closely enough to know much about Rodwell and Micah's situation. Both often injured and not good enough to break into the starting eleven. City are fighting for titles and trophies, not a training ground for England NT wannabees.wai2.gif

Just seen the new City home and away kits in Central baht2760. They also were selling off last seasons PREMIER CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING home kit...way nicer kit than the 2 new strips in my opinion.

^

Reckon even a pretty little go-go would struggle with that.

Don't think there'll be many a go-go wearing your Canary outfit either biggrin.png

Seriously though. What is up with these current kit designers. I've yet to see a decent one this year.

^ I blame it on the boot designers ,they have set a standard & the rest are following.

Whats wrong with black boots? The Chelsea kit is ok because its basic but just a shocking colour.

I would choose the one in Wandsworth....you can be easily in Central London in just a few minutes....forget the underground...get an Oyster card and use the bus to get in....cheap and a pleasant area.

Just be careful late evening....take a taxi back then.

Yep. Smokie ain't wrong BB. thumbsup.gif

Where's my fcking taxi.

Enjoy.

Agree with advice to date. Wandsworth is far more real London than boring Hendon, the transport options are good and you will be in a significantly cheaper transport zone than Hendon.

Night-time black taxi from West End to central London is gonna be 25 quid plus. If you have bought day travel cards on your Oyster already then tube it to East Putney 'for free' and get a 5 quid taxi from there (or train to Clapham Junction from Victoria then 5 quid taxi (or train from Waterloo to Wandsworth Town and 3 quid taxi, but taxis less easy to find at WT). During the day, train plus bus or train plus taxi is going might be quicker than bus alone - I am nonetheless like Smokie (evidently) and a big London bus fan. Research the routes out of Wandsworth online before you go and get transport maps as a first priority; enjoying London is all about getting the transport right.

Wandsworth isn't that dangerous these days though (yuppies started gentrifying it 25 years ago). You'd be ok in a family group or single bloke (single girls - always taxi). Putney and East Putney is certainly safe - albeit as you know you can get stabbed in almost any town in the UK if you are very unlucky! Good advice from Smokie to get Oyster cards - convenient for use at machines to purchase single trip, or day roamer access (look into possibility of family 'tickets') and they work on all modes of transport (even some river-bourne?) in Central London.

Was it Everton who had Pink shirts a few years back?

Everton first wore pink shirts in the late 1800's,so it's hardly something new!

Did you see then first hand mm ?

Many thanks to you both...very very helpful.

If i can trouble you a bit further. What would your opinion of this one in Brentford be - reason i ask is it looks ok and is a bit cheaper that Wandsworth weekends when we'll most likely visit (but i assume it would be in a more expensive travel zone?)?

I used to have a pink rugby shirt with the elephant's backside on the back from the (Bangkok) British Rugby Club - must ask the missus whatever came of it (and my HKG Seven's Rugby shirt from donkey's years ago...bet one of the rice farmer rello's wearing them up in the village)...

does anyone remember the Coventry chocolate-brown kit i mentioned?
