Yes you will find its called experience. We had it 40 odd years ago. Now it is almost eradicated. Do you have a problem with that ?.

do you feel embarrassed?

Yes football stadiums these days are an embarrassment, there bordering on a police state with no atmosphere whatsoever..

Give me 1980s football with the odd little punch up any day of the week, it was never as bad as what people like you who have to read the news to get their information think it was.

Isnt it amazing how so many idiots just have to tell you you wernt there.

I used to travel all over the country watching The mighty Spurs play. I got caught up in plenty of fights.

The little old fights ? I know of many people who got stabbed and bottled, I was at White hard lane one match when some idiot threw a petrol bomb at us.

Who did you used to go and watch ? Accrington Stanley.

Violence at football is a reflection of society as a whole.

Thugs attend football yes, but that is because thugs will gather where there is an opportunity to cause mayhem.

However football does not create the thug or their violent tendencies. Society does that.

In the UK there was a problem with violence but Football took measures to end it that have been mostly successful.

Yet violence and thugs still exist in society.

Now there's a thing.

Really, it was never as bad as people think.

I was there.

Yes it was.

Never want to see those days again.

TPL have come down pretty hard by Thai standards.

Each team deducted nine points, fined 300,000 baht and supporters banned from three games.

The points deduction means MU can't win the league and Singhtarua may end up relegated.

Despite initially saying the points penalties wouldn't be applied until next season.

Wonder how many secret meetings behind closed doors took place to change this decision?

Wonder who benefits from it?

It's never been eradicated. It just doesn't happen at the grounds any more. Gangs of "fans" still meet for a tear up.

The English quite rightly had a bad reputation for it and did a lot to make football grounds more family friendly by driving the hooligans out, but there are many countries where it is a problem and they don't seem to get the bad press the English get.

It very rarely happened in the grounds anyway. It more often than not took place outside the grounds. The cops won most of the fights anyhow. And no not many fights these days. There are still a few group fights, but they are little to do with football.

Rubbish

A new generation of young British football fans is responsible for trebling violent incidents since 2007. Last season the police clamped down on football-related public disorder with 600 new football banning orders and nearly 3,000 arrests. This documentary follows Britain's youth football firms across the 2013/2014 season.
