KT Murder suspects

I see that a month after the event, the suspects are going to be examined for signs of torture ! Surely this is just a little too late, plus it was stated that plastic bags over their heads was one method used. Will any examination expose this. But at the same time, certain "important" KT residents are able to refuse a DNA sample swab.
