ED Visa expiring soon, next to Tourist Visa, with a Trip to UK inbetween .....

My Filipino gf has decided not to study the second year at her School from 2015 onwards, as she wishes to start work in January.

Her last extension takes us up to 16th December, at which time we shall be on Holiday in UK.

PART ONE >

Her question is should she obtain a Tourist Visa in early December before we leave on Holiday (we are told Kota Bharu would provide just a single entry).

And if so, would she need a Re-Entry stamp, and how does this work?

For example would this then mean;

Tourist Visa can be issued say 7th December 2014, valid for 3 months, so until early March 2015?

We then depart Thailand to UK for Holiday on 13th December, returning 10th January.

So can we get a Re-Entry Stamp for 10th January, which would then still mean the Visa is good until March 2015?

Sorry for all the confusion...

PART TWO >

Also, I would also like opinion from anyone who has recently obtained a Multiple Tourist Visa from Thai Embassey in London, and can a Filipino do this?

Tried finding the telephone number to ring them but to no answer each time. Can she get this as we will just be on vacation after all?

Thanks everyone in advance!

A re-entry permit would keep her 60 day entry valid and it would be valid to the date that entry ends. As long as she enters before the 60 days ends she could apply for a 30 day extension.

There is nothing on the London embassy website that mentions residency in the UK for visa applications. She should be be able to apply for a tourist visa there but would need an address in the UK to put on the application.

Visa menu on embassy website is here: http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/?q=node/4

Thanks ubonjoe

Would she have a problem entering in January on a visa exempt?

She has only ever done one before now, and then has had the ED Visa for a year inbetween

If we can do this, then she can sort it out when we get back in the New Year ...

Cheers again!

It should not be a problem for her to get a visa exempt entry.

But I think it would be best to at least get a single tourist visa while in the UK since it can be done by post.
