Accessing The Internet

I seem to have a problem lately that I cannot access some internet sites such as Google, Thai Visa, my bank and I get the message ....... site not found, yet other sites log on straight away.

I retry 5 or 6 times and the site becomes available.

Sometimes I am in the TV forum and I get the same not found message.

Anybody any ideas as to what my problem could be?

Thanks.

Are you on broadband or dial-up?

What is the exact error message you are getting? Cut and paste all of it.

I will do that next time and follow it up on the thread.

I am on AIS GPRS as I have no land line yet (only waiting 3 years so far).

Looks like a time out/DNS problem...

On gprs you can have quite some package loss, so it might be that your request didn't get transmitted properly, and firefox was just waiting for something which was never going to arrive...

One of the (very few) things I don't like in Firefox is the non descript generic error messages. They don't really help you in knowing what the exact problem might be...

Oh, and pretty cool you managed to upload a 160kB attachement through GPRS, looks like you're a kind of a patient bloke :o:D

Trust me; broadband isn't any better!

I am with CSLoxinfo and for some unknown reasons, I can't browse some site.. I'll bet there's something wrong with their Gateways.. I can nslookup fine but couldn't browse. I can't see the googlebar from this site anymore.. It's been like a month already..
