ok, i have 2 kids that are now going to lertlah school, before that they were in pac chong and by k3 both of them can do maths adding with 3 numbers easily, and write alot.

3 digits?

like 153 + 231 = ?

Those shop assistants countrywide (poshy Paragon and Emporium included) can not do 2 digits (15+ 12, for example) without a calculator in their late 20s or 30s.

In canada they have a bilingual system that has been adopted by lertlah and the feedback is great. Kids have the ability to understand many languages and its fact that they lern the most before the age of 5 years..

Kids have the ability to absorb languages without rules being explained. That ability vanishes naturally before age of 10.

Canadian bilingual system would be OK where school is truly bilingual as everything else is: TV, street signs, shops, people talking...in Thai it is only school that pretends to be bilingual - first break and it's all getoized or all Thai.
