ETatBKK
DxO introduced the new version of DxO Optics Pro 10 and Film Pack 5. http://www.dxo.com/intl I been using DxO Optics Pro for a while and it is very promising. a very different approach than Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom; it is more 'photographic' than Adobe digital pixel manipulation. the skin tones rendering is far better than that in the Adobe process. the Prime Denoising likely gain 1 to 2 f/ stops to your lenses. it is more cost effective than buying a bigger lens. will upgrade soon and let you know more. check it out too ! cheers
fimgirl
Free here albeit only v8. http://petapixel.com/2014/10/26/can-grab-copy-dxo-optics-pro-8-completely-free-limited-time/ Problem is no support for the Fuji X-Trans files - pity.
MJP
I think Adobe really need to work on their RAW engine.
ETatBKK
yeah, Adobe applications are very good in terms of their multi-applications workflow design. if you work with a big team or in a corporate environment, almost no other choice. but Adobe applications are not the best per individual applications. DxO is a keen example. oh . . . also looked into the DxO Film Pack, amazing what a post-processing can do with ready-to-use modules. http://www.dxo.com/intl/photography/photo-software/dxo-filmpack/features http://www.dxo.com/intl/photography/styles#

MJP
I'm using PhaseOne Capture One Pro 7 as well as LR and Photoshop CC. Capture One's RAW engine is bonkers good. Good tip from Fimgirl.
