i saw mini van taxi service at bus station in pattaya nua to don muang, cost u 250 baht (not sure)... so, this mini van should drive back pattaya, in theory, right?

u may find out in pattaya forum. ask them the contact number.

If you wait till the 28th of September, you don't need to worry about Don Muang anymore. Start worrying about Suvan...what ever the name is of the new airport. :o

There are bus, minibus (after about 9.00AM) and taxi services direct from DM to Pattaya.

Taxis are the most convenient especially if there is more than one of you and you have luggage... You should pay around 1500 to 1800 baht. Check the actual vehicle and check if you have to pay the 150 baht motorway tolls. You need to take route 7 or 34. (Chonburi).

Taxi Meter or Limo, the latter service is the dearer, neither will use a meter you must agree the price there. Best I guess is to go to the Taxi counter in Arrivals hall and buy your ticket there.

If you want to take a taxi go straight outside the terminal and ignore all the limo / taxi touts on the way. Head to the taxi rank booth and you'll get a receipt to give to the driver.

At the booth you'll see a sign posted with fares for the popular destinations - Pattaya 1350b last time I was there. You'll have to pay for motorway tolls as well (about 150b?).

The touts inside will want 1800b and up.

You can also try getting a mini-bus using the touts in the terminal, though typically you'll have to wait around for them to get a group together. Could be awhile depending on what time you arrive.

the limo / taxis are available from the kiosks in the arrivals hall. A limo should be a Toyota Camry or similar. I always check the actual vehicle as olne time I was offered a 1970 Merc with no seat belts!

I would say the taxis and limos are the safest...beware of sleepy drivers...I stop and get them a redbull, and make 'em walk about. If you feel they are driving too fast you can offer them a tip if they don't go over 90 kmph, the national speed limit!

The minibuses are also bookable in the main hall, I think they don't run until after 9.00AM; the drivers are really quite irresponsible as are all the other drivers but you are less able to control them....... so you pays your money you takes your choice.

No numbers I'm affraid...but you might try your hotel....they may have hired a Pattaya minibus running other customers back to the airport?

The last couple of times I have gone for a limo they have wanted up to 3k baht. I can never remember which company is the cheapest but the Thai limos seem to be expensive.

I have never bargained them down though as the company picks up the tab, so not sure how far down they will go.
