Old car needs parts. How/where?

Featured Replies

Am considering buying an old Eu car, manual shift and cheap enuf. But how about getting parts for this clunker? What do folks here do if no Thai language? Shop online, find dealer, buy from Eu/USA ship over? Once had a nice 5 cyl Peugeut in USA but getting parts huge PITA and expensive.

Getting parts for a car never sold in Thailand is close to impossible ,

plus most euro cars are left hand drive....

But there are lots of old 1970s Mercedes sitting around Bangkok if you are looking for a project

Be nice to know what make? For starters.. Maybe a year? A bit more info.? Yes Peugeot in the US would be a big problem since they stopped importing them in the early 90's, last model imported was the 505 I believe if memory serves, they were racing in an IMSA stock based series and they looked like buses on the track but surprisingly quick and handled quite well and were quite durable too. Peugeot was making last ditch effort to break the US market so they had an incredible contingency for their cars in competition, I was looking to get into one the next season but alas that turned out to be their last season and they left the states after only 2 seasons with great promise just as they were gaining some notoriety and success on the track.
