In another news: ISIL "foreigner minister" said their efforts to improve human rights record has completely satisfied Thailand.

How's that work for ya general?

disclaimer: this is of course totally made up toocheesy.gif

There will be at least two members who believe this, as they do every other official statement from the Junta.

Thankfully those two members are in my ignore list. smile.png

Remove the "ignore" you are missing some gems.

Highly entertaining.

Quite shameless propaganda - the absence of any quoted source in the EU speaks volumes.

Maybe not:

Thailand: we promise to do something now.

EU: That would be a real good idea

Thailand: The EU is satisfied with Thailands effort...

just bending the true a bit.

'...said a Thai official.' yeah, sure, no doubt then... Like other non-Thai countries and organisations, the EU does also not want to take care of its own communication in Thailand. Is it because of the language? They don't want to take the risk to have anything lost in translation probably, is it? Nothing about this Government in particular, but do these 'officials', ministers, and all spokespersons think they only speak to 'buffaloes', or what? Recently it is on every single topic somewhere involving 'foreigners' that some Thai hot-shot comes out to read to the locals the gospel about what the outside world thinks of Thailand. All those control freaks wanting to manipulate the bit of information seeping through to the modal Thais are the best proof nothing has changed, nothing will change any soon, within 'the system' ruling this country: 'Keep them stupid, so you can use them' is the motto, despicable!

The EU, second only to the UN as a useless organization. Just wait until "emperor" obama becomes the leader of the UN hahaha 37% of the fools in the US voted, the rest where too stupid and lazy as always.

Time to go buy what you smoke from someone else, I'd say...

Wanted to know a bit more about this, so just had a brief chat with a person who has a nice office quite high in some EU building: gobsmacked, in disbelief, as it seems the EU is just a tiny thin line away from issuing Thailand that yellow card, and rather gave a last warning to Thailand, for a serie of real, concrete measures to be implemented, a.s.a.p., today, not tomorrow maybe, and that NOT TO impose a package of sanctions to Thailand which is already known, decided! But that person is not Thai, so must have been lying... Pharang baaah...

A good many more than two. They get uncontrolably orgasmic each time the junta makes an utterance.

From November 3rd

http://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-eu-warns-thailand-over-illegal-fishing-49459.php

The European Union (EU) executive body told Thai representatives in Brussels this week that more needed to be done against unregulated and unrestricted fishing off Thailand, Thai Rath reported.

"If the situation is not improved, the EU may impose yellow cards on seafood trade with Thailand," the newspaper quoted Mr Pitiphong as saying.

Wow! How impressive is that. EU issue warning on 3rd and by the 7th Thailand can announce their plan and confirm the EU euphoric.

Amazing Thailand - Yesterday's problems solved tomorrow wink.png

If you don't like the results, simply lie. Seems to be totally accepted practice.

These propaganda pieces are all very well but what do they say when the EEC slaps on the sanctions ?

They will blame the EU for its lack of understanding and then report lots of new deals with their friends Russia and China.

The Thai MO seems to be lie, lie again when caught and if caught out again then throw all your toys out of the pram and turn nasty.

Sorry, but that phenomena appears at so many levels in this society.

The Thais will wake up after the russians and the chinese took over the country with their corruption money. This process running already for several years. I would like to say "som nam na", but there is somethings I worry about, that on the end the poor ppl will bleeding for this and the most of them don't deserve this. Thailand is a big hub for the international mafia already.

Just two days after the EU itself expresses deep concern about it…

Thailand's effort to resolve human trafficking in the fishing industry has satisfied the European Union, according to … Pol Gen Chatchawan Suksomjit .

Well, General, you are quite simply, a . . . . . .
