Holy Cow Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Does anyone know who has real organic certified mango and strawberry? Certified, I mean internationally recognized.
geistfunke Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Sorry, but impossible. You can try to buy real certified Mangos only during the high season from April to September.
Gulfsailor Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Without a thorough analysis of the soil the plant is in what's the point of the organic certification of the fruit? Most soil in thailand is heavily contaminated with metals or pesticides from previous crops on the land. And not even talking about the polluted irrigation canals. The healthiest food in Thailand is probably something created/grown in a lab or factory. 1
cobbler Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Yes it amazes me. We wanted to export nam wa banananananas , when my wife explained to me the ins and outs of get the certification. I thought . About all the poisons ect put on the land before us , and wondered how long itd take for that to be truely gone .
BSJ Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I've been told by a few people that it can take up to 3 years to be certified organic. But I guess it depends on your starting point.
