UN urges Thailand against deporting Myanmar boatpeople

I doubt Thailand will be swayed by the UN .

It isn't the place of others to really be too critical on Thais if they take tough action.

Muslims have not been very helpful to the Thai peace process.

On the other hand these people are real refugees and desire a passage to safety.

Human considerations should be paramount .

Australia (my country) locks up children behind wire on offshore detention centres .

Something which is currently under some cloud also.

However it has discouraged further arrivals (as no visas are granted)

This limits drownings at sea.

But unfortunately, in the process we have become a crueler Nation in doing this to children.

Its child abuse.

So i can't imagine Thailand being more sympathetic (if Australia ignores agencies )

Again its fear vs humanity.
