Another reason alcohol on planes should be stopped. The airline I work for refuses you entry to the flight if even slightly intoxicated.

Before the I love a grog police start up, you can go a flight without having to have 10 ti 12 beers and numerous spirits.

not sure how the booze did this, the GUY did it. having a few (too many) drinks is not excuse....

So he says all this happened, not the airline.

And he happens to have a picture of the guy sat in his seat before anything happened.

Hmm,

"And he happens to have a picture of the guy sat in his seat before anything happened."

The picture of the guy in his seat shows him tied up. Presumably that would be after "anything" happened. Hmmm.

Oh dear my friend. Enjoy your stay in Thai prison. You have earned it.

I guess you did not read everything:

The man was escorted out by airport security. No charges were reportedly filed, but he was blacklisted from the airline.wai.gif

Hmm,

Greetings Blue.

It appears the picture shows him secured to the seat with tie wraps sir, wai.gif

I am presuming all airlines carry these to subdue passengers.

I would apologise as I am in the wrong here, however as you chose not to use my username correctly, I won't!

Hmm, you think he tie-wrapped himself to the seat before anything happened?

Yep, I'm wrong, mind you may have noticed someone beat you to it....

Hmm,

Unless BKK Airways have a new version of a seatbelt I would say he has been restrained in his seat.

I am no Thai Visa Detective but i'm guessing that this photo was taken after the alleged assault.

Oh dear, really not reading on before we post...strike 3...next...

if all reporting correct sounds like a right loser what a tosser

I would not say these were the actions of a drunk person.

These actions are much more in line with someone who is totally mentally ill.

I have never known a degree of drunkeness that would compell anyone to do that. The alcohol required to engage in such a blatant crime is way more than enough to render you totally unconscious.

Is it possible that this is a counteraction story concocted to balance out the attempted rape of the Venezuelan girl in Kiri Khan?

Sorry but this just seems far too bizarre to be true.

Edit: Also a single set of zip ties around his upper body.... anyone could tear themselves away from that no problem, lots of strength in your upper body.

Not convinced.

About as convincing as the 'hate Thailand' video. Packed full of lies directly from TAT. (Before anyone tries to tell me the Thai authorities don't generate BS propaganda to suit their needs).

Rust bucket,

Are you aware that they might be specifically designed zip ties for human restraint. I can't tell from the photo but law enforcement around the world have been using ties like this for a very long time, tight around the seat (which these appear not) would be very hard to break, especially with fleshy body parts.

And foreigners wonder why some Thai dont like em... Seen this happen all to often..

In the noble art of getting drunk and assaulting women, Thai "men" are miles ahead of their farang counterparts!!

Not in evidence in this story. In a plane? Really??

You can understand why Aeroflot have a number of "dry" routes for Y-class (economy) passengers. One such route, unsurprisingly, is to/from BKK. We flew it last summer and it was very quiet on board. Nice.

Have to say that I feel that they should ban alcohol on long-haul flights in Y-class. It is a long time to be cooped up with a drunken cock.

---EDIT---

Yes, I am aware this was short-haul flight.

Really?

First time I heard a story of a blatant attempted full on rape of a flight attendant anywhere in the world.... You must live in a whacky place if you see this all to often.

Does it ever get lonely there in your bubble? Must be hard to see clearly ... domestic violence, rape and drunken lunacy are a major problem in the "west" ( however you want to define it ) as well as other parts of the world such as Russia.

Looks like a Russian to me. Not farang.

Russians are not westerners. They are 140% russians!

That's nonsense.

1.

Farang The Royal Institute Dictionary 1999, the official dictionary of Thai words, defines the word as "a person of white race".[1]

2.

European Russia (also Western Russia or Central Russia) refers to the Western areas of Russia that lie within Europe, comprising roughly 3,960,000 square kilometres (1,528,560 mi2) and spanning across 38% of Europe. Its eastern border is defined by the Ural Mountains and in the south, it is defined by the border with Kazakhstan. This area includes Moscow and Saint Petersburg, the two largest cities in Russia.

Roughly 77% of the entire Russian population (about 110,000,000 people out of a total of circa 143,000,000) lives in Western Russia, at an average of 27 persons per km2 (69.9 per mi2).[1]:6[1]:10 Even though 75% of Russia's territory lies within Asia, the Asian part of Russia accommodates only 22% of its population at 2.5 persons per km2 (6.5 per mi2).[1]:6

The most of the Russian Tourists who visit Thailand coming from Moscow and St. Petersburg and its suburbs. These areas are a part of Europe.

I Don't believe this story could be true. Maybe something happened, but not what was claimed, and not even close to the level of violence and man handling implied. His clothes don't look out of place or torn. His shirt looks entirely intact. It's almost impossible to have a bunch of people pull at you and wrestle with you without a few buttons being torn off and the shirt being torn.

Okay, paddy, he tied himself up. Jeez.

He was tied up, he was arrested, we can see that, so something happened. But you can't get involved in a fight with a load of people pulling at your with your shirt entirely un damaged. Whatever he did, the staff and passengers have exaggerated massively. Edited by paddyjenkins

innocent of any crime, are now embarrassed in front of the world.

Why are they embarrassed? How do you know that they are? "I would imagine most of them could not give a sh&t"

You also have presumed just as you criticise tanoy for doing so!!

"I would imagine most of them could not give a sh&t".

If I happened to ne in Nana, which I detest, I would not like my old dial shown around the world where others could/would presume I was after a hooker.

Psychosis happens! Anyone can get caught by it.

A Thai man some time ago who went beating up the Supreme God at Erawan shrine was instantly killed by fellow Thais.

A teacher from Africa told me recently about a woman who went stomping in the dormitories of male students.

Villagers ran by, and stoned her dead. I was shocked!

Lucky him he was on a flight, so he survived.
