I'm using Vietnam airlines from Gatwick to Vietnam and Vietnam to Bangkok.

I will use my British passport to board the plane at Gatwick but once I leave Vietnam for Bangkok, I will use my identity of citizenship certificate.

The Thai embassy said I should use a direct flight really, but I didn't know that an also it's expensive for direct.

My concern is that I'm using Vietnam airlines to Vietnam and to Bangkok so my details of boarding the plane using my British passport will be seen and might question me on why I'm using a certificate for the next flight.

Any clues on what I should do?

Why do you want to use your identity of citizenship certificate instead of your passport? Is the identity of citizenship certificate for Thailand and you are a dual citizen?

I think I answered you question in your other topic.

You will traveling on your UK passport until you arrive here so you will have no problem transiting through Vietnam. When you check in for the flight show both your UK passport and the certificate.

Go direct from Amsterdam, I recently got a direct return from Amsterdam for 420 pounds with china airlines. Obviously a bit more for your easyjet flight to Dam from the UK but worth it.

Cheers

The OP has bought his ticket already.

I have dual citizenship and I have often changed between one passport and another. From my past experience I don't believe Vietnam airlines will raise any questions as to why you are using a different means of identification on the sector from Vietnam to Bangkok.
