You could do the extension today if you wanted to. You can do it a couple of weeks early if you want to.

You loose nothing by doing them early because the extension starts at the end of your 60 days.

Fridays and Mondays are always crowded, Do it early and pick a day in the middle of the week. It;s added on to the end of your current permission to stay.

And remember Friday the 5th December and Wednesday the 10th are holidays.

My 60 day tourist visa expires on a Sunday.

O/P: Go in a week or two ahead of the expiration. The 30 days is added onto the end of your current permission regardless of when you apply.

Hopefully you're looking at the expiration date on the stamp you received at Immigrations when you arrived and not the expiration printed on the visa sticker.

if you go Monday, you'll have to pay 500 baht overstay. Not the world's most intelligent question really.

Since the expiration date of his permission to stay falls on a Sunday and immigration are closed, if he goes the next working day there will be no overstay stamp or fine.
