I have a (presumably) benign growth on a limb - I am hoping to have this tested, and removed (by laser?).

Has anyone had this done at a dermatology clinic in Bangkok - preferably a clinical dermatologist, not a cosmetic dermatologist.

To be sure it is benign it may need to be excised and biopsied. Which might rule out laser removal unless a doctor skilled in assessing possible skin cancers examines it and feels confident enough it is benign to skip biopsy.

Assuming this is a superficial skin lesion and not something under the skin (in which case might need other than a dermatologist) I highly recommend Dr. Niyom at Bumrungrad.

I just had 2 lumps removed in CM RAM earlier this month. (OK it's a long way from you)

Just walked in one morning, doctor can see you in 1 hour, came back.

Wanted 3 done, but the doctor talked me out of one (it's only a mole, and not in an obvious place on leg, just leave it alone)

Had them years, no change.

Did I want biopsy ..... no.

He had a book out in English and pointed out each lump type.

(one cyst, one cherry mole, one mole)

Told me to go to the waiting room while nurse prepped surgery.

30 mins later I'm on the table.

Cyst cut out with scalpel then zapped with electric cauterizer.

Cherry mole zapped with electric cauterizer.

Just under 3kbht inc antibiotic cream for the wounds.

1hr wait for appointment, 15 min discussion, 30 min wait, 10 min cutting.

Healed now, 3 weeks later, well worth it.

Only pain was the novocaine injection in my back (near my spine), damn that hurt, 3 jabs in my neck no problem.

No pain after either, amazing.

I had this growth looked at in Bumrurgrad a couple years ago - the Dr said it looked benign, but he would do a 'skin graft' (I am confident that is what he said - although I took it to mean 'biopsy'), and then remove if it is benign. He quoted me at like... 10k for the biopsy, and 10k for the removal. It seemed like a steep price to me.

That does seem steep though of course it depends on the depth of the lesion and what its removal will entail.

The doctor in question's English also seems off as a skin graft is utterly different from a biopsy.

Again, suggest you see Dr. Niyom. He trained in the US and his English is fluent.
