Visa on Arrival - photos?

Featured Replies

I know this has been asked a thousand times, I tried to search but no joy...

Last time we arrived to LOS we had a twin-entry visa sorted before arrival. However, this time we're just doing a visa-on-arrival.

Emirates provide you with the application on the plane which you can have filled out, and we're on fast-track immigration so happy days.

However, do we still need to bring passport photos? I remember last time they took pics with webcams, so not sure what the story is.

Also, is there a charge for 30 day (or whatever it is) visa-on-arrival?

Thanks folks

No charge and no need for photos.

What nationality passport do you travel on?

Assuming you are expecting a 30 day Visa Exemption then no photos required. The form on the plane (TM6) is filled by all arriving passengers visa or not.

Visa on Arrival is something different, available to a few countries (mainly Indian sub-continent) and is only for 15 days, so don't follow the 'Visa on Arrival' signs, just go directly to the immigration desks.

Always, me thinks, a good idea to just have 3-4 extra photos clipped in to the back of your passport, Just In Case....

Good advise re. pics - i'll do it to be safe. I'm on an Irish passport.

Sorry about the mix-up re. 'visa except' and 'visa on arrival'

Last time i was in LoS and travelling around the region, I had 20 PP piccies taken using just that philosophy - so easy and cheap to "be prepared" and such a P I T A if you need them and don't have them.....as I've found to my cost!sad.png

Taking your picture upon arrival is one of the few things the Thai will do for free.
