Activating Windows 8.1 At A School Computer Successfully...

Hello and Sawasdee khrap,

First I'd like to explain in what a situation I am. Then the Mods might understand my issue and others might have better ideas how to deal with certain issues at Thai schools.

I'm at my fourth school and it seems the only guy who's got an idea how to protect computers, service printers, to make a long story short. If I don't check and get stuff fixed, I do not have a functioning computer, printer, wireless router, projector etc....

If the printer doesn't work, they always tell me to bring it to a shop to get it fixed. Would the guys from the little town's computer shops show up ,they wouldn't understand certain programs I'd installed. For example Tell Me More, Rosetta Stone and some others.

To get to the point. They gave me a brand new desktop with -I thought- a genuine version of Windows 8.1 on it. Updates were on and it showed the "genuine" status.

Some days ago a Window pooped up and told me that the product wasn't activated and the service won't be available soon.I'm using this PC to show Power points and online teaching programs.

A friend gave me his memory stick with a new program on called KMS Auto Net. I thought that I couldn't destroy anything either and let it run.

It finally activated it and I don't know for how long it will last.

I really need this computer, as I've got all the science, English and math books on PowerPoint.

There's no way that the director would pay for a genuine version of Windows, as he didn't even register me at the SS office.

I checked all computers, also the brand new ones only a few weeks old. On all are copies and updates switched off.

I've never seen a school with genuine programs on their machines and it's not allowed to post about "illegal copies."

I hope that my thread won't be seen as an invitation for illegal activities. Just the solution to keep this computer alive would be deeply appreciated.

If you ask MS nicely they will probably give you an EDU activation key for free.

You have an illegal copy and are asking how to prolong/bypass etc, that is against forum rules.

Either do it yourself or get a shop to copy the info you want OFF that hard drive and install legitimate software.
