Appeals Court dismisses Rossana's defamation suit against Jatuporn

Featured Replies

Jatuporn had only expressed his opinion with no intention of damaging her.

Where do they draw the line between "expressing an opinion" and defamation?

Could I "express my opinion" by saying "He's corrupt and he* murdered that person"? It's not defamation. It's just my opinion.

(* "he" = generic person, not Jatuporn)

The difference would be some one saying (" I think he did") as opposed to "he did" that would stating an apparent fact.

Also the context would be relevant, don't you think?

I will also wear a yellow shirt all this month. But when Manchester Unitied play I shall swap for Red. Don't judge color, inside we're all the same.
