maesai
Sounds like immigration is starting to check if a tm30 has been properly filed. I'm on a retirement extension and live in my Thai partner's house in amphur Hang Chat, Lampang province. I want him to file the tm30 form in case immigration wants to see it on my next 90 day report or extension. Never been asked before. Can he file this at the Hang Chat police station, or must he do it at CM Immigration (no fun)? Thanks.
ubonjoe
In theory the police station should accept it. But most would not even know what it was for. I don't recall any resorts of CM immigration wanting one for an extension application or reports.
maesai
I am sure I read a couple reports here recently of CM Immigration requesting proof of it being filed. I believe one person's wife was fined for not having filed the form. I like to be prepared, and don't want to have to make any repeat visits to immigration - if at all possible. Guess we'll visit the local coppers and see what their response is. Cheers.
Robert24
My wife filed the TM30 report at the CM immigration office at the airport. I don't think they enforce it now but it's the law. My wife tried to see if she could do it online but it didn't work so she went in person to the immigration office. 5 minutes in and out - no waiting.
