rickirs
<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> Just about any poll taken which reqires a choice between a male and a female of the human species, no matter the comparsion of eithers real ability will favor the female gender; the results are attributed to human favoring the under dog, their natural instinct for protecting the source of physical satifaction, and the life long goal of reproduction. poog tang is a driving force, even if not attainable from the specified female subject. Why do to think there are billions made each year on porno sites, nude picture magazines, whore houses, etx, Just count the number of couples who are referenced as lady name first , male name second, that is the natural way to vote in a poll. Its simikar to the number 7 being the most popular, If you want a better poll pit 10 males and 10 female names to the poll respondents and see who is named (include the most popular actor and actress in the list as well as adam and eve But many claim Yingluck is merely a stand-in for Thaksin - a man. ginjag
Love1012 - I thought unemployment was less than 1%? No one knows a paper produced tells you that in reality all those NOT employed--not self employed etc but live from day to day growing a bit of sticky rice--and selling the surplus --and having gambling/alcohol sprees these are the HIDDEN ones --the ones the government doe's not want to show.--------------Just look at all the women and men in 70% of Thai rural areas every day idling around. ginjag
Yingluck is just like pirate bay, you can try shutting her down but what the people want the people get. Its not over by any means. In Issan at this moment in time there is no word of her---she is a forgotten being--people are doing the Thai thing and that is living from day to day and not giving a hoot about anyone in particular. If you ask anyone in the street about Yingluck or the military they will say--" why you talk about them to me" this is their mentality towards politics.

ginjag
I'd vote for her over Abhisit. But then I am not Thai. Anyway what idiot relies on surveys to say how they are perceived by the general public in Thailand at this present moment? A level headed person to vote for out of the two then Abhisit is the only one that fits the bill. You as a non Thai Westerner probability, You have to have a problem somewhere to come to that decision. UNLESS your only thinking that she attracts you. Please tell the posters her attributes/ chairpersonship/strong leader qualities/--she was not voted in by the electorate but shoved into the job by her brother---give us a break please. Anyone that is impartial would give my answer. so forget me and the Issan voters. Who could reply to Question time the better. You have lost this one mate, apart from other members of the clan of course they will agree with you.

tukkytuktuk
I agree with Mango Bob, Abhisit should resign as leader of the democractic party and let new people and ideas such as Korn take control. Also is true for Puea Thai party who should have new ideas people and new leaders, maybe Nuttawut.

PTP should NOT be allowed to run in any election--their past record proves that with Yingluck at the helm Mango Bob would say Shins in control with Jutaporn as PM Why should Abhisit resign ?? Put his record against Yinglucks----there is your answer no he shouldn't--there are many more as well that would have to do nothing as PM to beat Yingluck--they would only have to stay in the country during their 4 years in office. Popular Post Alwyn
Call an election any time you like and she will walk it, which is why they won't until they have rigged the deck. There is no way I would like her back in power, but it should about what the majority want, not just me. Try providing viable political alternatives if you don't like them instead of just seizing power in a sulk. Baboon, unless you are Thai .. in which case you should stay off this forum which is for ex-pats... whoever is the Premier has Nothing to do with you... and just for your knowledge, Yinluck did Not win the majority of votes, she had to call in other parties to prop up her government and those coalition partners cost the taxpayers a fortune in bribe moneys.. Yinluck is an airhead which we all know now. (some of us knew before) and it may be, by the time she has to face the punishment for her rice scheme disaster, that she will not be allowed to be in politics for a long time . Lets hope so ! Personally, I would love to see her sent to prison for her crimes.. but that will Never happen. Yes, a very good choice, and I wish him the best in his role as Party Leader. But that decision will be made in another country, far away from Thailand, by another who was once thought to be a "good choice".

JimmyFT
Was there any doubt about it. Ordinarily, you would have raised a great deal of doubt over it. That is your typical response in other poll threads. But. somehow, with this poll thread, you've changed your tune completely. Why do you differ now so much from your own earlier poll thread posts? Such as: North Korean polls also show a high support for it's leader, are we also to believe those poll? Or, in a different poll thread: These polls mean nothing. According to a government backed poll, the government are doing an amazing job. Nothing to see here, folks..." Others mentioned a total disbelieve of any poll in Thailand. Poor Ms. Yingluck I am speaking from personal opinion, not from the results of polls. Fair, no problem with that. Mind you, in a poll you would still only count as one which with 1206 respondents for this poll would be about 0.0008%

Only a bit of experience and/or a brain is needed, in order to guess that a poll showing a rate of satisfaction of 93% of any political figure or party is biased. It simply doesn't happen in real life! Moreover when the name of the poll organisation is the same as the Junta's leitmotiv (Thai Researchers Association on Community HAPPINESS), you can only burst into laughter. That was the type of surveys Mango was talking about. I don't know how this survey was conducted, but at least the results are not extravagant (I would not have believed 93% for Yingluck). And the poll organisation is not know for supporting the previous government's political trend. There is probably a bias, as only half of the people answered. It may be that some of them were not confident to give their choice under current conditions (martial law, etc...) Eric Loh
So, are we saying here that the coup hasn't changed anything? Really coups; twice in fact with laws re-written and campaigns in the north to persuade a swing away from the Shins. So 2 coups with the full cooperation of the courts and independent agencies and a Shin still leads in the popular vote. Not encouraging outcome for the pro establishment elites. Ahbisit got to work harder or take leave.
