Thailand tourist visa for Myanmar citizen, 90 days?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

My friend from Myanmar is planning to come to Thailand and plans to stay for three months, so is it possible for citizens of Myanmar to get a 60 days tourist visa and then after that a 30 days extension, for a total stay of 90 days?

If possible, I understand that a round trip ticket is required by the Thai embassy in Yangon to provide the visa, can the return ticket be in 90 days since she already plans to get an extension?

Also, is it possible to get a double entry tourist visa for Myanmar citizens? What would be required to get it?

Thanks :)

They will be able to get a 30 day extension.

Not sure they will accept the ticket 90 days for entry. It would be best to contact them to find out what they will accept.

I don't believe they do any 2 entry visas now.

Tourist visa requirements are here: http://www.thaiembassy.org/yangon/en/services/33445-Tourist-Visa.html

Thanks for your quick reply Ubonjoe,

Actually, my friend is not in Yangon at the moment so she cannot ask directly but we have both tried to call the Embassy, they seem to never pick up the phone.

Good that she could get the extension, but if she has to buy a flight ticket for 60 days and actually buy another one for after 90 days that would be a waste...

When you say "I don't believe they do any 2 entry visas now." are you talking about Thai embassies in general, or just they don't deliver any double entries for Myanmar citizens?

I tried to open your link, but it gives me a blank page (tried on different browser already), is it working for you?

No 2 entry visas for anybody in Yangon.
