My GF went looking for a job for her adult son about 2 weeks ago ,,,She went for an interview, all went well and qualifications were okay, than things went wrong,,,she was asked if she and her son were Muslim,,she said No we are Buddhist.

Guess what,,,,,,He did NOT get the job.

I don't want to speculate but one must start thinking about all the things one sees on the Internet.

I know this is Thailand an' all but "you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink."

Maybe the potential employer saw that your girlfriend's son had no interest in working but he was just going through the motions to placate his mother.

Very negative response I must say,,,,, I gave him the benefit of doubt,,,,,Are you one or not?

I don't suppose the fact that your wife went to the interview with him had anything to do with the refusal? Naaa...couldn't be that, it's all the Muslims fault, or Thaksin's.

Don't you think an adult having his mother do or be in the interview for him might be a negative thing? If you were the employer, would that turn you off hiring someone? Maybe it's normal here but I think it's a bad move for an interview.

No offense, but I'm just saying that I think what people have said about this is worth considering.

that's exactly what you are doing!

maybe if the son got off his ass and looked for a job a potential employer would be a little bit more impressed!
