  • Central and others have a reasonable number of English speaking customers in their target marketing groups - including visitors from the Middle East, India etc. In general bike dealers are targeting

  • There are 77 provinces in Thailand; I believe most of them have at least one Kawasaki dealership. There are 3 Big Wings in Thailand. Do the math. It's also a Thai market. As self important as we f

Why do they bother then writing the names of the streets in english ? Why does dtac ais 7/11 etc bother to do english marketing? Lol

Why don't you speak Thai to them, they the heel should the speak English.

They're doing you a favor speaking English at all.

And finally... why the <deleted> are you not speak Japanese to staff.

Your Thai is probably better than your English :)

In the big bike shops on Phuket you can see a large percentage of customers being foreigners. Sure longterm foreign expats are a tiny minority but on the other hand they are into big bikes and have the necessary funds to a much much larger degree than Thais which counterbalances this quite a bit. Bigwing has better management than say Kawasaki and I trust they know why they train (some) of their staff in english. It makes business sense and doesnt cost much really.

These people are supposed to be at least half way decently educated so chances are they learned the basics of english in school I hope.
