Does anyone know if there is any truth in a rumour I heard about pending legislation that requires open air bars in Pattaya to be closed in (i.e walls and doors) by a certain date in the future ? I find this hard to believe. Or is it just a certain Soi or area affected ?

Seems unlikely as bars like that are found everywhere, and frequented mostly by Thais.

They should just control noise levels and opening hours properly.

Why not supply a link or source to your rumor to give it some substance ?, but just to come out with a statement like that on your first post is ridiculous
