webfact
Canada police: 9 dead in 3 crime scenesEDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Nine people, including seven adults and two young children, were found dead at three separate crime scenes in what Edmonton's police chief on Tuesday called a "senseless mass murder."Chief Rod Knecht told a news conference the killings were the result of domestic violence. The victims included a woman found Monday night by officers who were responding to a weapons complaint at a south Edmonton home. The bodies of three more women, two men, a boy and a girl were discovered a few hours later at a home in the northeast part of the city where officers had checked on reports of a suicidal male earlier in the evening.None of the victims was identified, but Knecht said the public was not in danger."This series of events are not believed to be random acts," he said. "These events do not appear to be gang-related, but rather tragic incidents of domestic violence."A man matching the description of the suicidal male was found dead in a restaurant in the Edmonton bedroom community of Fort Saskatchewan on Tuesday morning, Knecht said."Our homicide investigators have established associations and linkages between these homicides," he said.Police would not elaborate on the connection between the deaths.-- (c) Associated Press 2014-12-

Popular Post HeijoshinCool
Wow, 9 people killed in Canada do not get as much attention as 2 killed in the US. . Yep, even though guns were used, and the single US death was accidental, while the nine were murder. Couldn't be American bashing, could it? No, of course not. Not here, not on TV.

Credo
Americans should be proud and thankful. Apparently the life of one lady shopping at Walmart is worth more than 9 Canadians, if one goes by the number of posts on the other thread. Sigh......The media controls the dispersal of these stories. If you have an issue take it up them. This has nothing to do with " Americans". And any thinking person would realize that the shooting of the mother by the toddler will ignite gun control issues....... Phil Water
Wow, 9 people killed in Canada do not get as much attention as 2 killed in the US. While this is remarkable. It is also remarkable that the Canadian murder rate per capita is approximately 1/10 of the murder rate in the United States. That one is hard to put a finger on.
