Backwoods Posted January 1, 2015 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We were sold 2 puppies, supposedly yorkies, with papers from KCoT,, they looked a little pointed in the face, but I have seen this before, They were at 7 weeks. We now have, I'm sure a cross looks like palmerainion and yorkie. Is there a recourse for getting a refund for high fee paid for a registered puppy. bina Posted January 7, 2015 Share Posted January 7, 2015 a pom yorki mix is actually one of the new 'tailor made' types that everyone here at least is dying to get ahold of... you have them. keep them. im sure they're cute and fluffy... if u arent showing them, then it most likely doesnt really matter as if they look mostly yorki'ish noone in the real world will most likekly notice. only show or dog knowlegable people might. when buying dogs, caveat emptor. if u dont see teh mother with the litter and a pic of the mother being bred with the male, then you will never know. as it is, many time someone breeds and a strange male gets in and has his way and one or two pups are from a separate father. u can also order dna testing for yorkies... i recently came across some site that does that for breeders, if its super important. as far as money... goner. especially if its a back street or puppy mill breeder 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In the states it is sold as a Yorkie but is almost always a Silky which looks the same but is larger. And what's a "palmeranian"? The "obsession" comes from a desire to avoid inbred animals that have a higher likelihood of hereditary illness or disorder. The OP paid premium price for a couple of pedigree pups and is now concerned that they are not what he paid for. I'm sure he will love the pups whatever their parentage but that is not the point. The point is he may not have got what he paid for. It's not just a matter of loving the pups. He may want to breed them in which case if the parentage is not pedigree the money he spent is totally wasted. If you go to a car dealer and order a top of the range Lexus, pay the money and get documents for a Lexus but when you get outside find that you have a basic Toyota pickup would you just shrug and say "well it's nice and shiny and new, it has 4 wheels and I'm sure the pick up section will come in useful" Or if you go to buy a case of big Chang and instead you get a case of small Singha will you just take it because it's still beer and you'll will drink it anyway. I'm no legal expert but I would suggest the OP contacts the organization that issued the certificate to check it is genuine. If it is a forgery then he may get their help in getting it sorted as they would not want their name on forged documents. If they say the document was issued by them it may still be a forgery but difficult to prove without testing of the pups parentage. Balance your heart with the refund and the pups returned to the seller. If you are okay with both then do it. Soi Dog would love it if you walked in and offered to give a home to them. Many are domesticated dogs, ripped out of their neighborhood. It's a tragic situation.
