Hi Lads,

Happy New Year! I'm travelling home from work on the 8th and have booked flights for the wife (Thai) and myself (Scottish) to Mukdahan on the 11th. I am going to go over the border to apply for a Non Immigrant O Multiple Entry. I believe this is available at Savannsakhet.

I am 42 with a UK passport. I work 28/28 offshore in Africa so cannot be without my passport for too long. I have two but my second passport sometimes has to be sent to Angola for work visas there. Yes visas are the bane of my life.

The help I need from you guys in the know is a basic list of all paperwork required for the Non immigrant O multiple entry based on marriage. I want to get everything together just now and so the visa process is as easy as possible. I can have a couple of relaxed days in Laos and Mukdahan and come home with a visa.

The transport is sorted. I need an idiots guide to the paperwork for the lad who is doing this for the first time.

Many Thanks

At the consulate in Savannakhet you will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, signed and dated copies of your wife's house house book and ID card. Plus the 5000 baht fee.

And this completed application form with attached photos. Savannakhet .pdf

You will get your passport back the same day you apply. Apply by 11 am and get your passport back with the visa in it at 3:30 PM.

To confirm, they do not require the update for the marriage certificate certifying the marriage is current? Only the original marriage certificate?

Bye the way - Take the wife if you possibly can, I have seen a couple of instances where they get a little over re-active and communication becomes a problem.
