Hatyai Ice Theme Park wows visitors

BANGKOK, 3 Jan 2015 (NNT) – The southern province of Songkhla has brought Hatyai Municipality an icy flavor with the launch of a snow theme park as a New Year treat for holiday makers.

The Dream Land Hatyai Ice Dome Season 6, the most recent tourist spot especially created for this holiday season, offers visitors an opportunity to experience fun-filled activities against the backdrop of minus 15 degree Celsius snowy imaginary land. Visitors in addition will be able to enjoy a flower garden featuring more than 250 species of winter plants.

The Dream Land Hatyai Ice Dome Season 6 has not only impressed local people, but also attracted a huge number of foreign visitors particularly those from Malaysia and Singapore. Visitors’ reception is so overwhelming that the park organizer has decided to prolong the closing time from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The snow theme park will be held until January 4.

A classic case of 'the grass is always greener on the other side'

I want to see the 250 species of winter plants. I've never really seen much grow at -15 celsius ---- but then perhaps they are Thai "winter plants" ?

Maybe they're plastic? Wouldn't surprise me.

At 200 baht entrance fee (according to some of my wife's students), I don't think I'll be going.

Now an ice bar......that would be a fine thing.

Yeah! 100 baht entrance, first drink free. Ice glasses, ice bar counter etc...just like the ice bars elsewhere.

Could be a go.

Might mention it to Vaughn at the Hive.
