:D

Hi Huckenfell,

It is reasonably large with the Thai people, coming to Kan seeing “The Famous Bridge” and then going on the Raft Discos in the evening during week-ends.

As for non-Thai Tourists of all nationalities, they mainly come for the week-end and may stay for a few more days, but not in any big numbers as one would expect.

One has noticed however that a lot more Families are staying is Kan for a few days longer as prices are very reasonable :D still here compared to the seaside tourist places and the scenery is second to none, 2-3 hours away from the Capital. :D

The main problem with Kan is that it is too close to Bangkok, hence so many day-trippers from both sides of the Tourism Industry, Local and Overseas Tourists . :o

Hope this helps.

Yours truly, :D

Kan Win :D

P.S. and Weclome to ThaiVisaDotCom :D BTW

Kanchanaburi is slowing getting there.

It really depends on what you are after.

Of course we have the usual suspects, bridge, museum, railway, waterfall etc. Kanchanaburi is blessed with some beautiful nature, the rivers and mountains are a refreeshing change to the flat plains where Bkk sits.

There is not much of a nightlife and I have heard absolutely NOONE who wants Kan to turn into a Pattaya, type thing.

As I said, it sis lowly getting there.

Try it. Come on up.
