driedmango
I would like to start a little survival skills workshop course thing in Thailand, mostly for tourists, maybe have a little rental property with small shop, and make by hand some woodworking items, maybe hire a couple of people if it's possible.. it's a pretty modest "company" teaching some skills and building a few items that would get shipped back home. How is this kind of thing possible, would you have to go threw all that crazy list of things to start a real company (51 thai owned, 4 workers, 1 mill baht ?) and apply for work permit ? What if i had a thai partner that hired me on to instruct and the workers for the woodworking items are instead independent woodworking studios doing custom work for me ? On another note, I would love to move to thailand and do this, but i might have to choose a different country (mexico, panama ??) and start the learning process. Any ideas ? ubonjoe
You would need a work permit to do what you want to do. In order to get it you need to be working for a Thai company that has at least 4 Thai employees.
