Second passport...new visa

Featured Replies

Long story short. I got my second UK passport in sept. I sent it to get the type O visa through marriage. I got it no problem.

But, it did not return back to the Glasgow consulate on time for me leaving Scotland to go back to work. My mate brought it out to Thailand. I came into Thailand through swampy dec 23rd on my other passport and only have the normal 28 day visa on arrival (or what ever it is called)

When I want to do my visa extension when my 28 days are up....how do I do it? Can I do the normal visa run on a bus to Cambodia or do I need to fly to somewhere like HK or Singapore then fly back in on my passport with the type O?

You can extend your 30 day entry by another 30 days at immigration for THB1900. So depending when you're off working again might save you the hassle of a visa run.

You can only swap passports when you return to Thailand by air. At landborders it is not possible.

(If your visa was issued after the 23rd whenyou first enetred Thailand, immirgaiton might question you if they notice that at that time you were in Thailand and thus could not have applied.)

Thanks mate. I have a few offers but might not be away until after my current visa is up

Thought that would be the answer mate, thanks. A few days in HK or Singapore with the Mrs won't be a bad thing
