Hi everyone,

I read that it's possible to extend the stay on visa exemption but the immigration require a proof to leave thailand.

Is that correct?

What about if I want to take a tourist visa after?

where is the immigration in BKK?

Thanks

I'm thinking to go to Nakhon Pathom and ask for the 30 days extension but I don't have ticket to prove that I'm leaving thailand. Could it be a problem?

I will tell them that I will work in Myanmar next month but I still don't know the exact date, I'm waiting to be called.

Normally no proof of travel is required when obtaining the 30 Day extension.

But it is up to the officer to ask for it if he thinks he needs it.

Or 5000 baht in Jomtien.

When surrendering to extortion and using "agents".

When not, Bt 1,900.

OMG already has a thread going and they are asking for 5000 baht INSIDE the Jomtien Immigration office for 30-day extensions, nothing at all to do with using agents.

Your knowledge and experience is not empirical.

Asked 5000 Baht by the immigration officers for a simple 30 day extension.

They never stopped to amuse me.

Actually he reported about using an agent.

30 day extensions cost 5000-8500 baht. This is from the visa agents right outside the office.

Who goes inside and stand his ground pays Bt 1,900.

With that she handed the paper work to another lady, she asked my friend why he wanted 30 days, I replied he's a tourist this is his first visit to thailand as you can well see, she said do you have a onward ticket, I said it right there with the paperwork.

Anyway she was good and was happy to give the 30 day extension.
