Non B extension under consideration

Featured Replies

After applying for 1 year Non B extension at immigration, is it normal to get a 1 month extension?

It says APPLICATION FOR EXTENSION OF STAY IS UNDER CONSIDERATION.

What is the consideration period used for?

Thank you

Considering :)

It's just the process, all extensions of this type go through the same 30 day wait.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

It is not an extension. You still have the same permit stay date until you get your extension stamp at the end of the under consideration period.

It is a process of approving your extension. They might even visit your workplace to confirm the info provided with your application.

My current stamp permitted to stay until... is over in 2 weeks.

But they say to come get the 1 year extension in 1 month.

So im not allowed to stay in Thailand waiting until the end of their consideration period?

They even asked me if I need to travel out of country from now until February 7th, in which case dont forget ask for reentry at airport.

You are allowed to stay until the extension application is approved. The report back date does not end the under consideration period.

You can get a re-entry permit valid up to the report back date.
