Apply for Extension > 45 days before OA Permiitted Stay Date?

Featured Replies

USA Friend has a One year Multiple entry Non Immigrant 'OA' Visa (obtained outside of Thailand) issued last July, he has exited Thailand twice with his US Citizen family who are on One year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant 'O' Visas.

Friend currently has a permission to stay until Jan 2016, he wants to get a one year extension of permission to stay based on retirement in April so that his family can also get one year extensions as his dependants and do no more 90 day border runs.

Is there any way of doing this earlier than his leaving Thailand this July after the expiry of his 'OA', without a re-entry permit and then getting a 90 day single entry?

Application will be in HKT.

His family can get extensions now since the new police order went into effect in August of last year.

They revised clause 2.20 adding OA visas to it. See Police Order 327/2557
