I need to apply for a o visa usually do it through Hull, post Monday back by Wednesday a good service but no longer an option have to go through London, my Question is it better to post to London? how long do they take to return by guarantee next day delivery?

Option number 2 is to go to London, do you have to wait a long time? I am planning on arriving between 9 & 10am same question when you pick up next day is it Quick or drawn out? Thanks in advance for any replies

It is next day service if you apply in person at the embassy or 4 or 5 days if you do it by post.

Got a multiple-entry ED visa from London in December.

Arrived December 17th at 8.05am - before opens...early to beat the queue.

1 person already there. Opened doors at 9am, by which point about 5 people in queue.

By 9.05 maybe 15 people, so arrive early - though perhaps more holiday travellers at Xmas and busier than normal?

Handed over paper work / fees, all was in order and I left by 9.15, by which point maybe 20 people waiting.

Next day, arrived to collect (no same day visa I think), can't recall, but think collection is 11-12noon.

Many people, perhaps 30 when I arrived at about 11.15 waiting to collect.

Orderly queue, and collected passport, out of the door by maybe 11.35.

NOTE: ensure you have all forms filled in and correct papers when you go, otherwise you end up back of the Q.

When you arrive there are small ticket machines to collect a numbered ticket...make sure you get the correct one, pink & blue...I think blue for visa.
