I was too busy making money although I have the equivalent of a degree in Electrical and Mechanical engineering which my company sponsored.

I bought my first house when I was 21.

Bit late to the party weren't you? A

five-year old could've bought property

from his pocket money in Oz 25-30 years

ago. Guess your paper round didn't pay

much back then, huh?

Houses have always been relative to income but I was earning over $10,000 USD a month cash in the '80's most people are struggling to earn that now.

The degree looks like a Khao San Road job.

Would that be in comparison to yours, then?

Engineering is a profession with two systems of entry. Either you do a degree or you work and go to college part time and do different papers which can bring you up to degree level. This system is normal in the Armed Forces and heavy industry.

Employers know what's what.

And people with real degrees know the difference.

Bikey employers would always prefer to employ someone that has worked since 16 and studied rather than someone who just popped out of university in their 20's with zero practical experience. Unless they are looking for someone specific like a specialized designer.

Seems like your degree is working well for you keeping you in the lap of unbridled luxury.

I'd guess it's in whatever the Khao San Road vendor packed it in....

I've heard Physics degrees are cheap at the moment.

Calm down chaps. It's not like getting a degree is even that big a deal these days. I know some right idiots who managed it.

I resemble that remark.

I assume you confuse Physics with Psychopath.

So jolly decent of you to admit to your intellectual station in life.

This forum needs more ''characters'' like you to help in turning it into a fully fledged comedy show.

You might have gone down that road. I didn't follow you because then, as now, it was none of your business.

Give away the details of your life online if you like. I prefer not to.

IMHO a degree is only good if you wanna become a doctor, lawyer or an engineer. For the rest of the jobs I dont think it has that much value.

I will remember to ask Dentists, Nurses, Radiographers, Radiotherapist, physiotherapists, psychologists this question next time I am at the hospital.

Which in Soi Blker speak means ''I don't have a life, therefore I cannot share nothingness.''

With the exception of dentist the jobs above are shit jobs, a 2 year degree will do for most them.
