I'm from the UK. I've used the first 60 days entry plus extension of 30 days, now as far as I understand it I need to leave Thailand and re enter to get the second 60 days. My questions are:

1) Is my only choice to leave the country?

2) can I cross the border and come straight back?

3) im in Pattaya and Cambodia appears the nearest, I was thinking Paoy Pet, can I just bus it there, and come straight back or even stay a night?

4) Any better ways to do it? bare in mind ive travelled around Asia already and would prefer to spend the minimum time outside Thailand.

3. There are closer crossings to Pattaya than Poi Pet. I think most visa run companies are going to Ban Laem.

Going by bus to any of them from Pattaya would not be easy because I don't think there are any direct buses to them.

4. You could fly out an back to a neighboring country. You can find air fares that don't cost much more than a trip with a visa run company if you purchase them in advance. Malaysia is good choice because you don't need a visa for entry that saves the $30 for the Cambodian visa.

Flying out is an interesting idea, I just checked AirAsia and its about 3000 baht each way, plus of course taxi to airport and back. So im guessing there is a better way

plenty of visa run companies from Pattaya, some include a meal, i would think they are now 2,300 -2,800 baht ish

Used to be 2000 Baht. Leave at 6am, back around 2pm. Pattaya - Ban Phak Kaht - Pattaya. Every travel agent sells this tour. Pick up at your hotel.
