I can imagine the call to the insurance company.

Wasn't there a Vigo first?

It surprised me that none of these people even attempt to move until its far to late. Once Ole'Nelly is bashing the car, beep horn, rev engine and move, what is there to loose?

One's life.

Didn't beeping the horn cause the first attack?

I agree with you, one of the first ones reported was triggered by an impatient driver beeping the horn (som nom nah lol). If in the vicinity of any large wild animals then being as inconspicuous and quiet as possible is the best first approach, but what I mean in my earlier post was why is no-one doing anything once an attack has started? I'd be doing what ever it took to get away while my car was still capable of moving. If that meant driving off with an elephant partly on the hood.

Speeding minivans should all be modded as above and sent to elephant territory as punishment for their reckless and dangerous driving.

Probably not so unusual in Thailand..."the elephant sat on my car." :)

"Once Ole'Nelly is bashing the car, beep horn, rev engine and move..."

Good idea to risk annoying the animal even more.

"...what is there to loose?"

Quite a lot to lose if it starts on the cabin of the car.
