What are the best neighboring countries to get additional TR visas?

Featured Replies

What countries close to Thailand are best ( good reputation, easiest ) for getting additional tourist visas now in the post crackdown era? I have a triple entry from my home country (USA) but when all three 90 day cycles are used I'll need to grab another TR visa somewhere. Trying to figure out a budget and plan for that now.

Thanks.

I used to go to Phnom Penh for a single entry every now and again but I believe you can get double entry tourist visas elsewhere in Asia.

In Phnom Penh there's an agent who got my last tourist visa in 1 day but this was nearly a year ago so it would be worth checking in advance.

There was no crackdown on tourist visas only visa exempt entries.

You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Laos without a problem. You will not need tickets out or financial proof to get it.

All other embassies and consulates in neighboring countries will only do a single entry visa.

Sort of a crackdown on serial visa exempt entry users and potential crackdown on over-stayers, but what crackdown on tourist visas are you talking about?

There are issues at some embassies across the world who appear to have taken it upon themselves to decide how many visas is enough in a given time period.

There were reports of problems getting visas from the Paris embassy, I'd be interested to see if this policy is still in place since the new year.
