Visa on Arrival renewal for Dutch citizen

Recommended Posts

My Mum arrived for a two month visit but somehow managed to come without a proper 2 month Tourist visa and now has a 30 day visa on arrival.

What are her options now, can she get an extension after 30 days at immigration and if so, for how long and what would be her next option, after a potential extension at immigration.

Thanks for the input, did read a few pages but couldn't find exact information, in case this has been asked before.

She got a 30 day visa exempt entry (not a visa on arrival).

She can get a 30 day extension at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

After that she could go out for a tourist visa.

Or if you are here on an extension of stay and she 50 or over she could get a single entry non-o visa at an embassy or consulate and get a dependent extension based upon yours.

"...can she get an extension after 30 days at immigration and if so, for how long and what would be her next option, after a potential extension at immigration."

You can go to get the 30 day extension a week or so before her current 30 days expires. There's no need to wait until the last day and it's better if you go a bit sooner. They will add the next 30 days onto her current permission to stay, so she won't lose any days by going early.

Application form is here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/files/file/7-tm7-extension-of-temporary-stay-in-the-kingdom-application-form/
